In the presence of distinguished guests and in an atmosphere that reflected the nobility of the Rotary mission, the installation ceremony represented much more than a change in leadership. It was a tribute to service with purpose. The Rotary Club of Rio de Janeiro Maracanã held, on June 24, 2025, at the traditional La Mole da Tijuca, the official Ceremony of Handover and Installation of the Board of Directors for the 2025-2026 Rotary year.
The event took place in a festive and solemn atmosphere, with the presence of 87 guests, including Rotarians, family members, representatives from 15 clubs in the region and partner leaders, highlighting the prestige of the ceremony and the strength of fellowship among the clubs.
Gratitude for an Inspiring Term
President Carolina Bernardino de Brito concluded her 2024-2025 term with an emotional and reflective speech, in which she shared the challenges faced, the lessons learned and the impacts achieved during her leadership. Her administration was marked by the implementation of significant community projects, the strengthening of institutional partnerships and the appreciation of the Board team. Her commitment and dedication were also recognized with a medal of honor awarded by the Governor of the Lions Club, highlighting interinstitutional integration.

A New Chapter: Vision, Action and Strategy
On the same evening, President Cláudia Rogéria de Assis Fernandes dos Reis, for the 2025-2026 term, was introduced as a professional with a solid career as an administrator, an entrepreneur in the international logistics sector and the current CEO of Due Log. She assumed the presidency by presenting a strategic plan that balances continuity and innovation.
During her speech, she reaffirmed her commitment to Rotary values, emphasized the importance of the humanitarian and educational areas of focus and highlighted the motto of her administration, “United to Do Good”, a call to collective action, collaboration and empathy. The new President also officially installed the 2025-2026 Board of Directors, which will serve as the foundation for the work planned for the upcoming Rotary year. The team brings together experience, diversity of skills and strong engagement with the Rotary cause.

Reconnecting with History: The Readmission of a Rotarian
One of the most meaningful moments of the evening was the readmission of Rotarian Jhiovana Ibanez Duran, a visual artist and Rotarian with a distinguished history in the club. Sponsored by President Cláudia Reis, Jhiovana returns to the club bringing her sensitivity, dedication and creative perspective, which have always contributed to strengthening the membership. Her reintegration was formalized with the signing of the readmission document and the presentation of the official Rotary pin.
Building Bridges, Inspiring Action
Beyond fulfilling the institutional rite, the event reaffirmed the Club’s commitment to social transformation, community engagement and the promotion of the ideals of peace, equity and inclusion.
By bringing together leaders, volunteers and supporters, the ceremony demonstrated that Rotary is, above all, a space for purposeful action, where people unite to create lasting change in themselves, in their communities and in the world, as reflected in the vision that inspires the global People of Action campaign.
The Rotary Club of Rio de Janeiro Maracanã begins this new cycle with enthusiasm, responsibility and focus. With eyes on the future and feet firmly grounded in the tradition of service, the club moves forward, united to do good.
