On a night marked by recognition and a strong spirit of collaboration, the Rotary Club of Rio de Janeiro - Maracanã and the Rotary Club of Rio de Janeiro - Rio Comprido held an interclub meeting on October 21, 2025, in honor of the official visit of District Governor 2025–26 Claudinei Magalhães, of District 4571. The event took place at the traditional La Mole Restaurant in Tijuca and brought together district leaders, Rotarians, and representatives from several clubs of District 4571.
The ceremony was conducted with warmth and elegance by the host presidents, Cláudia Reis and André Vasco, who opened the program by highlighting the importance of presence, unity, and the continuity of good Rotary practices.

One of the first formal moments of the evening was the presentation of the official gift to Governor Claudinei, jointly offered by the two host clubs. More than a protocol gesture, the tribute symbolized institutional respect and recognition for the ethical and inspiring leadership demonstrated throughout his district term.
The meeting was also marked by concrete actions of social impact. Two symbolic checks were presented: the first in support of the Casa da Amizade of Rio de Janeiro, an organization that for decades has supported the humanitarian projects of District 4571; and the second designated for the Toy Bank, an initiative focused on child development through inclusion and creative stimulation. Both donations reflect the clubs’ commitment to keeping their actions aligned with the real needs of the communities they serve.
With emotion and reverence, the Paul Harris Fellow recognitions were also presented, one of the highest honors granted by The Rotary Foundation. Rotarians André Vasco, Mariana Simas, Carolina Bernardino, and Danielle Ribeiro were honored for their dedicated service to Rotary and their transformative volunteer work.
The ceremony also celebrated the strong participation of visiting clubs. The Rotary Club of Copacabana received the awards for Largest Delegation and Largest Female Delegation, while the Rotary Club of Nova Iguaçu was honored with the award for Most Distant Delegation. These distinctions highlighted the vitality of fellowship and the strength of participation among the clubs.
Presidents Cláudia Reis and André Vasco delivered brief yet meaningful remarks, thanking all those present and reaffirming their clubs’ commitment to excellence in management, Rotary ethics, and community engagement.
In closing the evening, Governor Claudinei shared his vision of servant leadership, encouraging clubs to remain active and inspired, each within its own community, yet united by a common purpose: to promote lasting change wherever there is need. His message emphasized the importance of renewing the spirit of service and expanding Rotary’s reach with coherence, consistency, and courage.
The official visit of Governor Claudinei Magalhães reaffirmed the value of interclub meetings as meaningful spaces for the exchange of ideas, leadership, and shared purpose. The evening concluded with a collective sense of direction and confidence, paving the way for a Rotary year that promises to be, above all, impactful.
