Rio de Janeiro, 2024.Through a joint action that exemplifies the power of collaborative Rotary work, the Interclub Project financed in 2024 by District Grant No. 2,568,158 of District 4571, in the amount of R$ 7,834.77, was successfully completed. The initiative, aimed at expanding early childhood services at Casa de Jacira, was carried out in partnership with the Rotary Clubs of Rotary Club of Rio de Janeiro Maracanã, Grajaú, Imperial, Leblon Gávea and Rio Comprido, with institutional support from District Governor Pedro Durão.
With the allocated resources, several items were acquired and delivered, allowing Casa de Jacira to improve its facilities for welcoming and supporting early childhood, including:
1 fifty-inch television
1 children’s table
1 playhouse
4 wall-mounted fans
4 seesaws
48 gym mats
The delivery took place with the presence of representatives from the partner clubs, in a moment of celebration and recognition of the concrete impact that Rotary generates when it brings forces together around a common cause.
This project reaffirms our commitment to early childhood and to strengthening community institutions that make a difference.
Casa de Jacira is a reference institution in welcoming women, children and elderly people at social risk. The expansion of the space and the acquisition of new materials will allow the creation of more playful, safe and educational environments for the children served.
This project is another demonstration of how District Grants, when well planned and executed through a network of clubs, result in lasting impact, inclusion and dignity for the communities served.
