Food Donation: Delivery of donations to Casa de Jacira

In another action focused on combating social vulnerability, the Rotary Club of Rio de Janeiro Maracanã promoted, in September, the donation of food to Casa de Jacira, an institution that welcomes and provides support to families in situations of social risk in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

The delivery involved the mobilization of club members, who gathered food baskets and nonperishable food items as a way to contribute to the continuity of the services offered by the institution. Casa de Jacira is recognized for its humanitarian work and serves as a place of support and hope for dozens of families.

The action is part of the club’s project calendar under the pillar of Food Security and Hunger Relief, one of the areas of focus of Rotary International, and reinforces the organization’s commitment to causes that promote inclusion, solidarity and social justice.

The gesture was received with emotion by the team at Casa de Jacira, who expressed their gratitude for the donation and emphasized the importance of partnerships like this for the continuity of the work carried out with the families served.
