In its final charitable action of the year, the Rotary Club of Rio de Janeiro - Maracanã carried out the donation of geriatric diapers to Amparo Thereza Christina, a philanthropic institution dedicated to the care of elderly people in situations of social vulnerability.
The delivery, carried out in December, aimed to contribute to the daily care routine of the long-term care home, which welcomes elderly residents and relies primarily on donations to maintain its essential services.
The initiative was made possible by the engagement of club members, who mobilized to meet an urgent need of the institution. The action follows the guidelines of Rotary International within the area of focus related to disease prevention and treatment, promoting health, dignity and respect for the elderly population.
The partnership with Amparo Thereza Christina is already a tradition in the Rotary Maracanã calendar and represents an ongoing commitment to valuing life at all stages.
