Geriatric Diaper Donation: to Amparo Thereza Christina

Rio de Janeiro, May 2025.

Continuing the commitment to dignity and care for the elderly population, the Rotary Club of Rio de Janeiro Maracanã and the Rotary Club of Rio de Janeiro Rio Comprido carried out, in May, the second stage of the donation of geriatric diapers to the institution Amparo Thereza Christina, located in the north zone of Rio de Janeiro.

The delivery complements the action initiated in December 2024 and reinforces the club’s continued support for the needs of the care home, which provides comprehensive assistance to elderly people in situations of social vulnerability. The initiative responds to the institution’s growing demand for basic supplies required for the daily care of residents.

The action is part of the club’s goals within the health and support for vulnerable populations axis, one of the areas of focus of Rotary International, and demonstrates the importance of lasting partnerships with social institutions that provide essential services.

The team at Amparo Thereza Christina expressed their gratitude for the continuation of the donation, highlighting its direct impact on the residents’ quality of life. With this delivery, the clubs reinforce their community engagement through concrete, sensitive and sustainable actions.
